THROUGH CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
SUNDAY SCHOOL 9:15-10:15
Our Sunday School begins with an opening where all youth K-6 gather for a word, some music and recognizing birthdays and other celebrations. There is the occasional Sunday in which there is no Sunday School, like Christmas and New Years.
Youth Group
Wednesday nights from 6-7:30 pm, join the youth group of Mount Zion.
For Teenagers who have completed confirmation (Approx. 8th-12th grades)
Vacation Bible School
Toward the end of July every ye ar, we hold Vacation Bible School. This is geared for kids pre-k through 5th grade, but all kids are welcome! There is a new theme every year to keep the kids engaged in the activities. There are crafts, music, outdoor time (rocks), light supper, and snacks. It is Monday through Friday 5pm - 8pm.
Kids For Christ
On the First Sunday of every month, during the Sunday School hour, K - 6 youth gather for KFC... Not Kentucky Fried Chicken, but KIDS FOR CHRIST. Kids for Christ is a ministry of the Sunday School that reaches out to our community. This is done through various projects such as snack packs for the homeless, Christmas gifts for those in need, school supplies for children's centers and hospitals.
Confirmation
Confirmation is for those young people who are in grades
6th, 7th,
&
8 th
, and their parents.
Confirmation is not simply more Sunday School.
It is an
intentional time devoted to YOUR understanding of the
faith that God has given you.
It is a time for YOU to
challenge and participate in your own development as an
informed Christian.
As a class, we will learn what it
is for you to be responsible for your life as a fellow
believer in the promises of God.
Confirmation begins in September. Wednesday evenings 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Contact the office for details.
Classes will not be boring. In the words of a famous or
infamous scholar, "It is a SIN to bore a child".

Trunk Or Treat
Every year on Halloween night, we hold Trunk or Treat. We open up the parking lot and fellowship hall to kids of all ages from the community. We have vehicles set up in the parking lot that elaborately decorate to hand out candy and treats. There are games, treats, music and giveaways. The fire department comes and lets the kids climb up into the fire truck. More than 700 people attend this event every year!
Visit With Santa
Every December Santa and Mrs. Claus comes to visit Mount Zion! Bring yourself and your kids for pictures with the Claus's and treats for all. Follow us on Facebook to be the first to know about their arrival!
